GRUAU certified by new utility vehicle brand DELIVAN as official bodybuilder partner

Press Release - Exhibitions - Group

On the occasion of the IAA Transportation show, to be held from September 15 to 20, 2026, in Hanover, Germany, the DELIVAN brand will announce the certification of the Gruau Group as an official partner for the conversion of its vehicles. For this event, GRUAU will present four vehicles designed using the DELIVAN platform, each meeting a specific professional use. This certification marks a new stage in the cooperation between the two companies regarding the conversion of DELIVAN’s future range of new energy light utility vehicles.

As Chery Holding’s new light utility vehicle brand destined for the European market, DELIVAN has chosen GRUAU to handle the conversion of its vehicles and adapt them to the varied needs of professional users in Europe. Within the framework of this cooperation, DELIVAN will provide its expertise in new energy utility vehicle platforms, as well as in integrated ecosystems dedicated to fleet management. For its part, GRUAU will leverage its recognized international experience in the field of vehicle conversion to offer DELIVAN transformation solutions adapted to different professional uses. Officially announced in April at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, UK, this cooperation will be further strengthened at the IAA Transportation show with the certification of GRUAU as the brand’s official bodybuilder partner, evolving the collaboration from co-development toward a reinforced market partnership.

A win-win partnership based on complementary expertise

Based in Laval, France, the Gruau Group draws on over 135 years of experience in the sector and has developed extensive skills in the field of utility vehicle conversion, covering numerous applications. This expertise now makes Gruau an important partner for DELIVAN as it enters the European market.

The Gruau Group currently collaborates with leading automotive manufacturers and carries out conversions for vehicles from 45 brands. Its industrial flexibility, the technical skills of its teams, and the richness of its portfolio of conversion solutions are major assets in meeting the needs of diverse clients and professional uses.

With long-standing experience in developing partnerships with automotive manufacturers, GRUAU and DELIVAN are combining their respective expertise throughout the project, building a relationship based on trust and complementarity. The official certification also confirms the strength of the joint development carried out so far and the complementary expertise of the two partners.

Four DELIVAN prototypes presented in Hanover

To optimize the technical integration between the conversion solutions and the DELIVAN base vehicle, the two companies began their joint development work from the earliest stages of the project. The four vehicles to be presented at the IAA Transportation show are the result of this close collaboration.

Designed to combine performance and range, DELIVAN’s new energy platform serves as the basis for the four vehicles developed by GRUAU from the DELIVAN L3CC, each meeting a specific professional use: a crew cab vehicle, a mobile workshop vehicle, a chassis cab equipped with a tipper, and a refrigerated vehicle.

These initial conversions were developed with full consideration of European safety requirements and regulatory compliance, while meeting the specific needs of professional users. They illustrate the potential of DELIVAN’s new energy platform to address a variety of professional applications and highlight Gruau’s multi-specialist know-how in the field of utility vehicle conversion.

Through this cooperation, GRUAU once again affirms its international expertise and its ability to support new automotive brands entering the market thanks to its multi-specialist skills, while responding quickly to customer needs. This certification is also part of one of the major pillars of Gruau’s 2030 Project: sustainably strengthening its industrial presence in Europe and accelerating the development of the GRUAU brand beyond the French market.

“This certification constitutes a key step in the relationship of trust we have built with the DELIVAN brand. Our teams are proud of the work accomplished and particularly honored to see their commitment and the quality of the work carried out jointly recognized through this certification. This partnership fully illustrates the Gruau Group’s ability to mobilize its multi-specialist know-how to meet the demanding specifications of international players.”

Patrick Gruau, President of the Gruau Group

“Being recognized as a partner bodybuilder by Chery Commercial Vehicle validates the co-development approach initiated by our teams. By combining the Delivan electric platform with our expertise in professional conversions, we have together developed competitive mobility solutions perfectly adapted to the requirements of European professionals. This partnership demonstrates our ability to support new manufacturers and contributes fully to the Gruau Group’s international expansion strategy.”
