1500 Dedicated Individuals
A collaborative approach as the driver for our RSS2E actions
At Gruau, we are convinced that the value generated by the group stems from the addition, or even the multiplication, of all dedicated individuals working within our companies, both as professionals and as complete individuals.
Our common anchor point is our culture, founded on our more than century-old history and our four values.
We are attentive and committed, particularly to:
- health, safety, and well-being at work
- knowledge and skill development
- conviviality and family culture
Caring for each individual means caring for the collective. We ensure that our employees work in safe conditions and that their health and integrity are maintained and respected. A network of Quality of Work Life correspondents is deployed across each group site. Each new employee follows an integration program that includes these topics of health, safety, and well-being at work.

Groupe Gruau has had an approved Training Center since 1993. Certified CQPM and QUALIOPI, it partners with the Compagnons du Devoir for its expertise related to the coachbuilder profession. The Gruau Managerial Excellence approach supports each manager in developing their teams’ skills. Since 2020, our employees also have access to an open-access training platform, the Digital Academy.

The group’s 4 values contribute to transmitting the family culture of proximity among each employee. This culture is fostered by the organization of events that maintain social connection and pride of belonging. These events are an integral part of the Gruau Adventure, team spirit, and the desire to participate in actions beyond one’s professional mission.

Contributing to each region to provide societal value
At Gruau, we are deeply connected to society and its developments. We operate locally within our regions, whether French, Italian, or Polish.
We respond to events, prioritizing support for our employees’ commitments (sports, cultural, associative, etc.) and major causes that particularly affect us.
We maintain long-term partnerships focused on values close to our own.
We believe in civic engagement, in the younger generation, in solidarity, and in the sustainability of our partnerships.
Civic Engagement
Across all our companies, we facilitate the contribution of our employees engaged in emergency and health missions for the community. Our volunteer firefighters are fully integrated and valued. We encourage them to carry out their missions at all times during working hours.
Our employees are encouraged in their eco-responsible proposals. We prioritize their sports, cultural, and societal initiatives and commitments that help animate the regions. More than x projects are supported on average each year.
The Younger Generation
We are always happy to present our professions, our history, and our projects to young people through school visits, and by hosting interns at all levels and in all specialties.
Our specific support is directed towards engineering projects to promote industrial professions and our Employer brand: partnerships with ESTACA (Volta ESTACA project). Our employees are keen to transmit, support long-term projects, and share their working lives and ideas to strengthen the meaning given to study and apprenticeship paths.
Solidarity and Sustainable Partnerships
“Providing freedom to People with Reduced Mobility” is one of the promises of our manifesto. We are well acquainted with the PRM environment, thanks to our mobility offerings. We support unique journeys in parasports (for example, with athlete Andy Birée).
Partner of ASO and the Tour de France for nearly 45 years! We find meaning in this partnership, which allows us to provide the ambulance fleet to the entire ASO medical team. The Tour de France is a fantastic showcase of French “event expertise,” and we support ASO in fulfilling its mission of assistance to athletes and the public.
Our employees have the ability to mobilize energies very reactively, very creatively, to support great causes. Our association Les Utilitaires de l’Espoir paved the way for an incredible solidarity operation in Ukraine.
UTILY-TERRE PAR NATURE© is
Enabling the group to grow
At Gruau, our economic model has had only one objective: to ensure the group’s sustainability and to do so with integrity! We believe that the value of women, men, and team synergies is our primary asset.
We are a less robotic industry where know-how, talents, and skill synergies make the difference and consolidate our human footprint.
Our ability to innovate and cultivate excellence in all areas is our main asset to compensate for the regulatory and economic inequalities of the globalized automotive industry. We do not fight with the same weapons, and we prioritize our values, our ethics, and our commitment to maintaining ‘Made in France’ within our group.
Founded in 1889, Groupe Gruau is the Adventure of 5 generations of entrepreneurs who have built a sustainable group. Over the last 40 years, activity has increased twentyfold. 12 brands are gathered under the Gruau Group banner: each has been enhanced to serve a strong and recognizable intangible capital for customers.
Operational management is in quarterly contact with a Strategic and Development Council, which brings together family shareholders and friends.
The G’EO (Gruau Operational Excellence) approach is implemented across all group sites and aims for continuous improvement and industrial performance. In place since 1985, it has enabled Gruau to distinguish itself in the quality of its products and services. This approach allows all employees to contribute directly to continuous improvements and to the consolidation of teamwork at each site.
We act daily to optimize our energy consumption: building insulation campaigns, modernization of heating systems, awareness of eco-friendly practices. Attentive to the circular economy, we created Gruau Occasions, we carry out retrofit operations, and distribute our spare parts via a dedicated e-commerce platform. Our logistics aim for low carbon. Since 1993, our network of local coachbuilders helps limit travel by optimizing grouped deliveries.

Preserving Our Environment
At Gruau, we have made the environment a vision in its own right. It defines our code of conduct: “a group and employees firmly committed to UTILY-TERRE, which has become a reason for action and a source of performance in several key areas: eco-design of our products and services to reduce our environmental impact, carbon footprint, biodiversity, and preserved resources across all sites, encouraging our employees in their eco-responsible proposals and in the use of soft mobility modes.”
The “factory in the countryside” concept is favored whenever possible. Indeed, we believe that a clean, healthy, beautiful working environment promotes employee well-being and good living for all (natural light in buildings, creation of green spaces, securing traffic flows, etc.).
This is a matter of respect for our employees and for all our visitors.
Recycling and waste sorting
We recycle metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel), wood. In particular. We recover rainwater…
Innovation
Innovation in small, clean last-mile vehicles
Responding to city center regulations and new customer uses.
New recycled and recyclable materials
Designing new utility vehicles like FGVs, “Écolonome” trailers, to lighten vehicles and reduce environmental footprint.
Measurement and Valorization
Valorization of environmental actions
Raising awareness and highlighting employees’ sustainable development commitments, such as the BlueGreen Trophy.
Measuring our extra-financial performance
Conducting Carbon assessments for Codir and sites, developing CSR reports, and rating the eco-design of our transformations.
The BlueGreen Initiative
Launched in 2008, the BlueGreen initiative is a sustainable development approach that extends our corporate project. For over 20 years, our corporate project has placed all group employees at the heart of a triangle whose 4 pillars are: social and societal added value, economic sustainability, and environmental commitment.
Great actions have been carried out by the teams within each group subsidiary. The BlueGreen initiative and UTILY-TERRE PAR NATURE© reflect our Social, Societal, Economic, and Environmental Responsibility (RSS2E) and our desire to integrate the circular economy into our thinking and operations: buying sustainably, eco-designing, recycling and valorizing our waste, promoting employee well-being, and strengthening the sense of belonging through their contribution to “being useful to the Earth.”
