Green Mobility
Over 25 Years of Gruau Expertise
A Brief History
Green Mobility, we envisioned it over 25 years ago with the Gruau Microbus, in partnership with RATP: a 100% Gruau, 100% electric innovation that made our group a full-fledged Manufacturer. The Gruau Microbus marked a generation of small-sized urban public transport vehicles. Gruau then specialized in the field by creating a joint venture with the Bolloré Group, which today deploys the entire Microbus range, now Bluebus, from small to large sizes in French cities.
This technological leap allowed the group to grow in all areas in the early 2000s, particularly in terms of new professions. It paved the way for the 100% electric Gruau Electric Utility Vehicle, at the heart of Gruau’s activity: the Electron range was thus born in 2015. By creating its own electric drivetrain for 3.5-ton vehicles, Gruau was one of the first to market a new clean mobility offering for all professionals. This unique range was undeniably a link to the new Manufacturer ranges.
Towards 100% Clean Utility Vehicles
Developing 100% clean Utility Vehicles also means focusing on new materials and vehicle weight.
The G’innov Lab Gruau prototypes and tests material solutions derived from the circular economy, such as recycled ABS twin-sheet, recyclable materials like aluminum, and lightweight materials that offer increased payload and energy savings during each journey. Sustainable development in vehicle outfitting has truly become a field of progress and innovation. Every technical or regulatory constraint is studied as an opportunity to design differently and design cleaner.
The best current example: the production of last-mile delivery vans for Picnic, a major food retail operation.
